Bridgeport Phase II expansion approved

Congratulations to our client P&L Bridgeport, LP. On March 7, 2022, the Town of Moreland unanimously approved the rezoning of 54.751 acres of property from RD (Rural Development) to GI (General Industrial) with a Special Use Permit for (1) wholesale trade/distribution facilities, (2) manufacturing facility involving only the assembly of pre-manufactured component parts, and/or (3) manufacturing facility involving the mechanical or chemical conversion of raw materials into semi-finished or finished products. The rezoning will enable Pope and Land to further expand the Bridgeport "mega-site" industrial development which is already the site of an Amazon distribution center. The rezoned property is part of a larger tract in Coweta County which is unique in terms of its size and access to the interstate, railroad, airport, and major highways. The site was first identified as a state industrial "mega-site" nearly 20 years ago and has already had a very substantial economic impact on Coweta County.
